Today, I noticed Ari laying on the folded down white sheets of my bed and painted him very fast using the same Sakura Koi watercolors, touched in a couple of whiskers with a Pitt Artist Pen.
So even though these aren't stand alone paintings, I've got two more daily paintings in. This is a good thing. I have had a lot more sick days lately than not, also days when going out to appointments meant I was too sick to paint once I got back. Glad to get back in the groove again.
Good to see you back doing your art, Rob. I find the challenge helps get me going again after a bad day or two. It is something to look forward to and a reason to at least try something. I don't know about you, but it has helped me.
ReplyDeleteYour Bird of Paradise looks great. Good job on breaking the red into green. Nice subtle changes. I guess you could call the painting of Ari a "still" life. hehe It was nice of him to pose for you.
Thank you, Doug! Yeah, it's been tough this month. I had so much offline activity that I didn't have much time for art between going out and resting up.
ReplyDeleteLOL yes. Ari is definitely a Still Life, he's still and he's alive. Still lifes including sleeping cats are one of my major plans for big paintings.
